TV channel 4 says: "We have officially broken the record low this morning of -6° set back in 1936.
If you must be out today, make sure that you have no exposed skin. Frostbite can occur in 20-30 minutes with our wind chills ranging from -20° to -30° this morning.
The brutal cold continues into the afternoon as temperatures will reach near 0° for highs. We will also bring in more light, accumulating snow today. A Wind Chill Warning is in place across the entire metro. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in place as areas will see continued snow into midday. "
